Contrary to the people of Sukhothai, the town and the hotel, was the visit to Sukhothai Historical Park a highlight. Our third time here and while we rushed through the park on our first visit and we just did the Loy Krathong Light and Sound Show at night on the second visit, did we just leasurely enjoy the park this time. They rent-out bikes now, as well as e-cars (or something like that). However, I still find it most enjoyable to walk the park. And we did spend an entire day in the park from morning to after sunset! We just visited those places which we really liked in our first visit to re-take some photos. Surprisingly the park was not too busy, even though we visited a day after the Loy Krathong festival. Laterns were still hanging at various points in the park and the staff removed the stages and the spotlights. However, a rather enjoyable visit, despite the 5x increase of the ticket price over the years and the fact that outlying temples charge extra.
